Dr. Joe Wilson – Shoulder Consultant of Raleigh, NC
Dr. Joseph Wilson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. As a Flight Surgeon in the United States Navy, and as a key member of an F-18 Fighter Attack Squadron, he served aboard the aircraft carrier, the USS Constellation.
Upon completion of his Orthopaedic training at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC, Dr. Wilson spent an additional 18 months of subspecialty training in Sports Medicine and Shoulder surgery. He completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he was also a assistant team physician for DePaul University and its Division I Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. While in Chicago, he also served as an assistant team physician for both the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls.
